Each player gets three cards. Every round starts with a small boot (a fixed chip amount) in the pot. Players then take turns to bet or fold.
Blind player: bets without looking at their cards. Blind bets cost half as much as seen bets.
Seen player (chaal): looks at their cards first, then bets double the blind amount.
Pack: fold and leave the round.
Side show: a seen player can ask the previous seen player to compare cards privately. The weaker hand folds.
Show: when only two players remain, either can ask for a show. Both hands are revealed and the higher one wins the pot.
Trail (Trio): three cards of the same rank. Three Aces is the best hand in the game.
Pure Sequence: three consecutive cards of the same suit, e.g. 7♥ 8♥ 9♥.
Sequence (Run): three consecutive cards of mixed suits.
Color: three cards of the same suit, not in sequence.
Pair: two cards of the same rank.
High Card: none of the above; the highest card decides.
A-K-Q is the highest sequence. In most versions, A-2-3 is the second highest.
Start blind, then look. Playing a few rounds blind keeps your bets small while you watch how others play.
Fold weak hands early. A high card below King rarely wins a show.
Use side shows wisely. They help you avoid putting more chips into a losing hand.
Watch betting patterns. A player who keeps raising while seen usually has a pair or better.
Practise against the computer before joining tables with other players.
